We are invested in the waste water management industry and food waste pumping (bio-gas) industry. We have combined modern materials with state of the art technology to provide pumps that get the job done.
How do our Pumps fit into the food waste/bio-gas process?
Our pumps can fit into any stage of the food waste process. We currently use them between the Hammermill and the holding or thermal processes.
The right product for the right job
At EMS our team of experienced salesmen and engineers evaluate each client’s site and advise on which pump is the best solution based on: the product (food waste), volume, capacity, and pressure.
What makes EMS different?
Using EMS pumps provides our customers with proven significant cost savings, both in mechanical interventions, spare parts, and whole life costs. We are 100% certain that our pumps will impress, just like all of our previous clients.
Client Case Studies
EMS Food Waste Ram Pumps – Food Waste Facility, Mitcham UK – 2015
EMS Industries were approached regarding providing trial pumps for both the Hammermill and the thermal process stages on this site. The existing pumps on this site had a high turnover of parts. During 2016 the customer proceeded to purchase two new pumps to replace the trial units, which have now been operating successfully and to date have required minimal spare parts and maintenance interventions.
EMS Food Waste Ram Pumps – Bristol UK – 2014
The existing pumps on site were causing issues leading to high maintenance costs. Two free of charge trial pumps were installed which proved hugely successful with little interventions needed. In 2015 the customer proceeded to purchase two new pumps to replace the trial units, which have now been on site for over four years and have required minimal parts and had one annual service.
Client Review
Tom Phelps – Food Recycling Supervisor at Geneco
“We previously had duty-standby rotary lobe pumps to feed batches in and out of our pasteurizers. These suffered a lot of wear due to grit and glass content in the food waste. We were spending a lot of time and money replacing worn rotors most weeks. We needed consistent flow to get efficient heat recovery. By investing in two EMS ram pumps we have now got this with a big reduction in maintenance costs and downtime.”
“These pumps have improved our output of bio-gas by giving reliable feed to the digesters and in turn give a reliable service to out Geneco food waste customers. We only need to clean out and inspect the non-return valves weekly and have needed to do very little maintenance, apart from an annual service and occasional seal adjustments.”
“These pumps have easily paid for themselves more than once in a period of 3 years.”
Gary Lee – Site Manager at Fernbrook Bio Ltd.
The EMS pump that has been trialed at Fernbrook has been a really good bit of kit as we have had no down time and spent no money on spares. I would recommend the EMS ram pump to others.”
